Swindon Town Takeover Official

Swindon Football Holdings Limited have announced they have officially completed the takeover of Swindon Town Football Club.

The new board will consist of Andrew Fitton and Jeremy Wray as already announced. Sir Martin Arbib has been revealed as the mystery board member after a statement was released by Swindon Town F.C at lunch time today.

Swindon Town`s new owners have resolved all the outstanding issues regarding the takeover and will now clear the clubs CVA and get the transfer embargo lifted that hangs over the club.

The new consortium is expected to name Maurice Malpas as manager with David Byrne as his assistant on Monday.

Town`s new owners will be holding a press conference Tuesday at the County Ground to announce their plans for the club going forward.
