Fans Unsure Of Malpas Appointment

Vital Swindon Town asked fans, Is Maurice Malpas the right man to take Swindon Town forward?
Chairman Andrew Fitton told the media he wanted someone with a proven track record when looking for the manager to replace the departed Paul Sturrock.

Names such as Steve Cotterill, Mickey Adams and Martin Allen emerged as favourites so Town fans were shocked to see Maurice Malpas named as manager after he was a complete failure at Scottish Premier League side Motherwell.

Fitton backed up his appointment as Malpas is a good coach and someone who is loyal and would stick with the club.

Town fans have warmed to the idea and somewhat say they will judge Malpas on his results at Swindon instead of previous history.

At Walsall a chant of 'Who needs Mourinho. we've got mauricio' started.

In our Poll was asked fans, Do you believe Malpas is the man to take us forward? Here are the results.

-Yes 28%
-No 16%
-Unsure 56%
