Swindon Closing In On Cox

Reading manager Steve Coppell has admitted that Simon Cox could be a Swindon Town player at the end of January.

Coppell told the Reading Evening Post "He (Cox) is at a crossroads. He wants to play. He`d love it to be here - but if not, he`d like to try somewhere else. We`ll see what happens in the transfer window.'

Cox has made it clear if he is not getting first team football he would be 'over the moon' to join Swindon Town after concluding a successful loan spell at the end of last month scoring 9 goals.

Cox has been in Reading's team twice since returning from Swindon and featured in Reading's FA Cup Clash with Spurs this month.
