Swindon Town welcome Millwall to the County Ground this Sunday with an early kick off of 2pm.
Prior to the match Swindon Town fans will be able to say good bye to Christian Roberts who retired from the professional game at 28 years old due to a persistent knee injury.
'You don't want to have too many games at home where you either play poorly or you get beaten because it affects the fans. The fans get disheartened - one or two don't turn up, one or two get critical. You get the snowball effect and everyone starts to jump on the bandwagon.'
Town boss Maurice Malpas on Swindon Fans turning on the team
Swindon have lost their last 2 home games 3-1 with 2 pathetic performances. Another loss will see pressure grow on Town boss Maurice Malpas. Town will be without Barry Corr who suffered a thigh injury earlier in the week. Patrick Kanyuka may miss out with an injury. Jamie Vincent will not feature for another 2 months.
Another half-hearted performance will see most Town fans reach breaking point. Town MUST win this match after 2 3-1 defeats on the trot at home.
Millwall are currently sitting pretty in fourth place in League One. On loan striker Tresor Kandol will miss out through suspension. Millwall signed highly rated striker Jermaine Easter on loan from Plymouth Argyle this week for a month. Striker Neil Harris is out through injury for another 2 months.
Alexander is Millwall's top goal scorer with 3 goals in the league so far. Always a thorn in the side of Swindon.
Town won both matches against Milwall last season 2-1. The away leg saw goals from Simon Cox and Jerel Ifil whilst the home leg saw a goal from Cox and Anthony McNamee. Swindon are a lifetime 46-33-59 against Millwall in all competitions.
Town can't seem to get things going at home although reports say the Stockport game last week at Edgeley Park was a better game. I would like to be confident but I see Millwall pinching this one 2-1 due to their league position and our home form.
