County Ground, Swindon
Saturday 26 August 2006
3 pm Kick Off
Swindon Town look to continue their winning streak in League 2 as they entertain Stockport County at the County Ground.
'I don`t know what the records are here at Swindon Town, but if we can, we`ll be looking to catch one of the unbeaten records.'
Swindon Town Manager Dennis Wise
League 2 leaders Swindon Town will be without Andy Gurney, Gareth Whalley, Gus Poyet and Dennis Wise. Andy Monkhouse and Jamie Vincent are questionable. Royce Brownlie will be serving a 1 game suspension for his red card against Brentford earlier in the week. Aaron Brown and Andy Caton could make the bench for Swindon.
Again this guy have been fantastic this season. Swindon Fans will be hoping Ifil remains rock solid at the back.
Stockport who sit 22nd in League 2 will be boosted by the return of Glenn Murray. Tes Bramble is also back in training with County after suffering a hamstring injury. Adam Proudlock a highly touted strier will be looking to score for County and send the Swindon fans home unhappy.
This kid has bags of potential however he has yet to really fulfill it. Proudlock has gone from team to team over the last couple of seasons and will be looking to send a message to the rest of League 2 by scoring against the League leaders.
The last Time Swindon Town played Stockport was 2 seasons ago.
