Vital Preview: Crawley Town

Swindon Town welcome fellow League Two promotion side from last season Crawley Town to the County Ground this evening for Town's first home league game of the 2012/13 season.

Vital Quotes:

'Crawley have made changes from last season, so tonight will be a different test'

Paolo Di Canio

Swindon Town Team News:

James Collins could be set to start his first game for Town alongside Andy Williams. Paul Caddis is likely to miss out due to his disagreement with Paolo Di Canio. Gary Roberts is still suffering from a calf injury.

Player to watch: Joe Devera/Matt Ritchie

With Paul Caddis unlikely to play any time soon under Di Canio, It is up to Devera to prove he deserves the starting slot at right back. Caddis and Matt Ritchie's link up play was a key ingredient in promotion last season, can Ritchie play as well alongside Devera?

Crawley Town Team News:

Richie Barker has a full team to select from following his clubs 3-0 drubbing of Scunthorpe United on the weekend.

Player to watch: Gary Alexander

The tricky striker with an eye for a goal will be looking to add to his tally against his former side this evening.

Match Facts & Stats

Town beat Crawley Town twice last season 3-0. In the away fixture Alan Connell and Mehdi Kerrouche (2) scored the goals but both has since left the club. Luke Rooney, Paul Benson and Billy Bodin scored the goals in the home fixture. Bodin has since signed for Torquay United.

Match Prediction:

With Town's decent home record last season as well as the 3-0 drubbing of Brighton last week, we are going for a 3-1 home win, with James Collins opening his Town account.

Next Fixtures:

Swindon take on MK Dons Saturday at the County Ground with a 3pm kick off.
