VITAL PREVIEW: Crewe Alexandra

Swindon Town hope to put their home troubles behind them as they head to the Alexandra Stadium to take on Crewe Alexandra this evening.

Vital Quotes:

"It`s clear that my idea of what`s happened in the last month under the embargo didn`t give me the chance to get - I don`t want to say six - but three points that we lost,"

Town boss Paolo Di Canio says the embargo has cost the team points

Crewe Alexandra Team News:

Crewe currently sit 19th in the League One table with 13 points. Ajay Leitch-Smith is set to miss the match due to an ankle injury whilst Ryan Colclough is out with a broken jaw. Andy Bond could face a late fitness test following a groin injury. Max Clayton is rated 50/50 to be fit for the match.

Player to watch: Chuks Aneke

Could start for the Alex after coming off the bench to score an equaliser against Walsall on the weekend.

Swindon Town Team News:

Swindon currently sit 6th in the League One table with 22 points. Town will be without Aden Flint who is suspended following a red card against Scunthorpe. Federico Bassone will miss the match due to injury alongside Nathan Thompson, Alan Navarro and Andy Williams.

Player to watch: Joe Devera

Devera is likely to be re-called with Flint suspended and injuries to Thompson and Bassone. This could be Devera's last chance to make an impression at Swindon.

Match Facts & Stats

With Town being under a transfer embargo, they will need to ensure they don't get red carded again. Injuries are limiting Di Canio's options at the moment. Town have a history of picking up red cards at Crewe.

Match Prediction:

Town's away form seems to be better than at home, so I will say a 2-1 away win.

Next Fixtures:

Town hit the road Saturday to take on second placed Stevenage. Kick off is at 3pm.
