3pm Kick Off
Swindon Town welcome League Two newcomers Hereford United to the County Ground this Saturday as Hereford try to make it 3 wins in a row.
'Hereford scrapped their way into this league and they will keep doing that.'
'They will come here in front of a good crowd and on a good pitch and will treat is like their cup final.'
Swindon Town Caretaker Manager Ady Williams
Swindon Town will be without Charlie Comyn-Platt, Andy Monkhouse, Andy Gurney and Andy Caton. Christian Roberts could be back after being sidelined or 4 weeks with a knee injury. Preston Goalkeeper Andy Lonergan will start between the sticks for Swindon according to sources. Jerel Ifil returns after serving a one match suspension.
With Ady Williams stating he may not play so he can pay close attention to on the field matters from the touchline, Ifil will have to step up on his return from suspension to give leadership on Swindon's back line.
Hereford will likely field an unchanged team from last weekend. Hereford will be looking to extend their winning streak. Hereford will be without three defenders, Martyn Giles, Simon Travel and Trent McClenahan. Hereford will have a decent following after selling out the 300 advance tickets that were sent to the club.
The former Torquay striker came to Hereford with an impressive scoring record wherever he is played but saw his appearances limited last season after suffering an injury Connell's other clubs prior to Hereford were, Ipswich Town, Bournemouth, and Torquay United.
Christian Roberts played for Hereford during the 1998-99 season whilst on loan from Cardiff City. The last time the 2 clubs played was during the 2001-2002 season when the 2 teams played each other in the FA Cup. Swindon won 3-2 with Invincible, Edwards and Howe scoring for Town. Swindon lifetime against Hereford are 10-2-7.
2-2 Draw. Both teams will be out to prove something and with Swindon Town strikers not finding the net and the possibilty of Ady Williams being on the bench this could be a very exciting and interesting match.
