After the first team beat Yeovil 4-2 at the beginning of the season, Town entertain Yeovil again at the County Ground, This time in a reserves match.
A tale of 2 sides. Swindon Town's first team play a game on friday while Yeovil get a rare chance to enjoy a weekend off as their opposition Walsall take part in the FA Cup.
Alan Reeves' Swindon side will have many of their first team out for this fixture including Jack Smith, Gareth Whalley, Michael Pook, Matt Bulman, Nicky Nicolau and Paul Smith. Many youth team players are expected to play a part in this fixture including Leigh Henry, Ben Wells, and David Stroud. young strike duo Ashan Holgate and Lucas Jutkiewicz are also expected to feature
After being out with an injury for the most part this season he has since been frozen out of the first team with the arrival of Aaron Brown. Nicolau will be looking to give boss Iffy Onuora a selection headache for the match at Southend on Friday Evening.
Yeovil will bring a strong looking side consisting of Chris Weale, Andy Lindegaard, Adam Lockwood, Luke Oliver, Steven Davies, Kevin Gall, Pablo Bastianini, Steven Reed, Dale Williams, and Richard Cullingford. Yeovil will not be playing for 2 weeks after this match due to Walsall's involvement in the FA Cup
Pablo Bastianini scored passed former Town Keeper Tom Heaton who has sinced returned to Manchester United to give Yeovil the advantage in the first teams match on 27th August.
