3pm Kick Off
Swindon Town welcome second place Tranmere Rovers to the County Ground this Saturday in what should be a close match.
To Follow after Paul Sturrock's press call today.
Barry Corr could be on the bench for Town after making his long awaited comeback during a reserve match this week against Exeter. Andy Nicholas, Hasney Aljofree, Ady Williams and Jack Smith will not feature with various injuries.
Cox has been fantastic since arriving on loan from Reading and has scored 5 goals in all competitions. Cox along with Paynter will be hoping to bang in a few more goals against Tranmere.
Tranmere's Steve Davies is facing months on the sidelines with cruciate knee ligament damage and will not feature. John Mullin will not feature after having an operation to remove a bone spur from his ankle.
Achterberg has only allowed 9 goals all season and will be looking to stop Town's goal scoring threat after Swindon beat Gillingham 2-0 in their last league encounter.
The last time the 2 clubs played at the County Ground, Tranmere won 2-1 over Swindon with goals from Greenacre and Aiston who gave Rovers a 2-0 lead heading into half time. Jamie Cureton would score for Swindon in the second half to make the final score 2-1 to Tranmere.
The referee for this match will be Pat Miller who had given out 22 yellow cards and 1 red card in 8 games this season.
Swindon Town 2, Tranmere Rovers 2. Town have got lucky in front of the goal recently with the partnership of Paynter and Cox however Tranmere have got off to a flying start and will not be push overs. Could be a very exciting game.
