After a 3-0 thumping at Priestfield on 14th January, Swindon Town entertain Gillingham at the County Ground on Valentines Day.
'We are calling on both set's of fan's to show common sense and to just enjoy the match and leave their frustrations inside the ground. Their is no room for this yobbish culture in this game. Not only do fans suffer, but your club does as well.'
Our rallying call to Gillingham and Swindon supporters
Swindon Town have won their last 3 games at home and have started to climb up the table. They currently sit one point from safety. A Win would surly take the team to safety for the first time since September.
Has been solid at the back since the departure of Andy King. This will be a stern test for the former Watford Man as he look's to make up for Town's 3-0 beating at Priestfield, to which the defenders had an off day.
Gillingham currently sit 15th in the League One table after a 1 all draw with Tranmere over the weekend. Gillingham defender Chris Hope will be looking to impress Gills manager Ronnie Jepson with only 4 months remaining on his current contract. Crewe midfielder Justin Cochrane has joined Gillingham on a month's loan, will also start his second game for Gillingham. Gillingham have also only won 1 game away from Priestfield this season and have a league low 9 games away from home this season.
The striker who has 7 goals in all competitions this season, scored against Swindon a month ago. Midfielder Michael Flynn also scored against Swindon after joining Gillingham from Wigan in the summer. When playing for Welsh side Barry Town Flynn scored a respectable 40 goals over 2 seasons.
Gillingham beat Swindon Town 3-0 when the two teams met in January. However the game was overshadowed by the mindless hooliganism outside of the ground to which gave a black eye to both clubs.
