7:45pm Kick Off
Swindon Town travel to crisis club Luton Town as Swindon hope to continue their 2008 unbeaten run at Kenilworth Road under the floodlights.
'At times we have played some decent stuff and at times we played some effective stuff. The only criticism I have of the players is their final ball.'
Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas
Luton's off the field problems have been well documented as the skint club battle for their very survival a feeling Swindon fans can all relate to. Things look better for the debt ridden club after a local TV personality agreed to take control of the club. On the football side of things David Bell could return after missing the last 2 games for the Hatters. Striker Drew Talbot will likely drop to the bench to make room for Bell whilst Calvin Andrew and Paul Furlong will push to start up front however Sam Parkin will be pushing to start for Luton after scoring against Leeds in his return last weekend.
Super Sammy missed his Swindon Town return earlier in the season thanks to another ankle injury however the Swindon Town legend scored a goal against Leeds United Saturday to give Luton a share of the points.
Swindon Town have not lost a game in 2008 yet and hope to continue their fine form. Craig Easton will likely miss the match due to a calf injury whilst Striker Billy Paynter and defender Jerel Ifil serve suspensions. Barry Corr or Blair Sturrock will replace Paynter who has suffered from a lack of confidence lately. Sofiene Zaaboub is doubtful after suffering an injury against Barnet in the FA Cup.
Roberts could return to the starting 11 thanks to injuries to Sofiene Zaaboub and Craig Easton. Roberts will be expected to get some crosses into the box as well as attacking the goal.
Swindon Town won the home game in August in a wet and soggy affair at the County Ground. Craig Easton and Lee Peacock scored the goals for Swindon in their 2-1 win.
2-1 home win, You just know that Sam Parkin will score against his former club.....
