Rovers 0, Swindon 1

Swindon Town beat local rivals Bristol Rovers 1-0 this evening at the Memorial Stadium.

A 74th minute header from Simon Cox sealed all 3 points for Town after Rovers missed a fantastic opportunity to take the lead.

Just minutes earlier, Rovers' Craig Disley went one on one with Town keeper Peter Brezovan and beat the Slovak keeper only to see his shot hit the cross bar.

The win is only Swindon's 4th win on their travels this season.

Town will look for another 3 points Saturday against Gillingham which would relegate Gills should Cheltenham Town draw or win.

Star Player

Lee Peacock - Again another dedicated outstanding effort by Peacock.
