Swindon Town drop their 5th successive home game 3-1 against Huddersfield in another poor performance at home at the County Ground.
The misery only took 6 minutes to materialise when Liam Dickinson slammed home the ball after Town failed to clear a Huddersfield corner. The groans had started although many of the Swindon fans chose to get behind the team chanting "COME ON SWINDON" among other things to rally the troops.
Town were given a lifeline on 25 minutes after Michael Timlin was brought down and Swindon were given a penalty. Up stepped Simon Cox who is a very good bet to score. Cox shot to the left and Huddersfield keeper Matthew Glennon also went to the left to keep the ball out of the net and keep The Terriers one goal lead in tact.
Right after the penalty The Terriers were back off and Gary Roberts shot the ball past Swindon keeper Peter Brezovan to make it 2-0 to the away side.
The chants of "We want Malpas Out" and "You don't know what your doing" were aimed towards the players and beleaguered Swindon boss Maurice Malpas.
The players were booed at half time as the score was 2-0 and another poor home performance had fans dreading much of the same for the second half.
The second half was much like the first, Swindon rarely attacked and when they did Huddersfield's defenders were right there. The Terriers are a very well organised side.
On 69 minutes Michael Flynn sealed Swindon's fate as he scored the third goal for Huddersfield which resulted in a good portion of the Swindon supporters leaving after seeing enough of this rubbish.
The home fans were very quiet until Craig Easton scored on the 91st minute to give Town a consolation goal.
The full time whistle goes and another poor performances see's Swindon just one point of relegation now.
