League Two side Swindon Town have beaten Barclays Premier League Side Wigan Athletic to win their 'cup final'.
Playing in front of a sold out crowd at the County Ground Town more than matched their Premier League counterparts.
Wigan took 1-0 lead after Wigan were given a penalty due to Aden Flint tripping Callum McManaman in the box. Town keeper Wes Foderingham saved the penalty taken by Ben Watson but Wigan would score when the ball deflected off the post was slotted home by McManaman.
Swindon and the fans responded well to falling behind by upping their game.
On 40 minutes the game was square when Alan Connell headed home past Ali Al Habsi to level the game going into half time.
Paolo Di Canio would bring on Paul Benson in place of the largely ineffective Ronan Murray at half time.
On 76 minutes Swindon would take the lead as Matt Ritchie fired the ball towards Paul Benson who defelected the ball past Al-Habsi.
Wigan wouldn't go down without a fight and brought Victor Moses and Conor Sammon on to try and score an equaliser and force a replay but Town managed to weather the storm and after 3 minutes added time was announced Town maintained posession to secure a famous win.
