Swindon Need One Point For Promotion

Swindon Town need only to draw at Aldershot Town to ensure an instant return to League One following their 1-0 win over Plymouth Argyle this afternoon at the County Ground.

Town's match today was a scrappy affair with Plymouth Argyle parking the bus to try and get the draw.

Alan Connell would break the deadlock on 84 minute slotting home past Argyle keeper Jake Cole sparking wild celebrations at the County Ground.

At the time Crawley Town were losing to AFC Wimbledon meaning if the score remained the same, Town were up.

Crawley would equalise almost to the minute Town took the lead meaning the champagne would have to sit on ice until at least Tuesday night.

A draw would be enough to see Town win promotion back to League One. Swindon Town have sold out their entire allocation for the fixture.

think your promotion and probably winning the title is a mere formality and over the season very much deserved.
