After receiving a scolding from Manager Paul Sturrock after Swindon`s poor performance in the 3-0 loss at Stockport, a confident and rejuvenated Swindon Town beat relegation threatened Accrington Stanley 1-0 at the County Ground this afternoon with goals coming from Jack Smith and Andy Nicholas.

The win puts town back in third place with a game in hand in League 2.

Ricky Shakes - Came back after a poor game last week and proved to Sturrock and the fans he wants to retain his spot in the starting XI.
