Swindon 5, Gillingham 0

Swindon Town ensured that Iffy Onuora fails to get the Gillingham managers job by beating the Gills 5-0 at the County Ground this afternoon in a game that seemed more like a pre-season friendly against some obscure team in the screw fix 10th division.

Goals from Simon Cox (2), Billy Paynter (2) and JP McGovern ensured Town climb back to sixth in the League One table this afternoon.

The Whole Team - After a dramatic week at the County Ground the team pulled together and won the game by an improbable scoreline.

"Seven or eight Gillingham". You're funny. Did you use one hand to count that high? Can you blame our fans for not turning up? That's what we have to put up with on the road. Most are starting to think it's just not worth the hassle any more.
