Swindon Town 3 - Carlisle United 0

Brunton Park, Carlisle

Tuesday 4 December 2007, 7:45pm

Carlisle 3, Swindon 0

Swindon Town suffer a heavy defeat at Brunton Park as Town put on their worst league performance of the season.

Town started off the better of the 2 teams however once Joe Anyinsah gave Carlisle a 2-0 advantage Town never looked like scoring.

Town's night of misery got worse at defender Ben Tozer was given a straight red after the referee consulted the linesman. The referee had originally waved 'play on' but then changed his decision for a straight red.

Town would finally be put out of their misery after Joe Garner scored goal number 3 for Carlsile on the 75th minute.

It was a poor show from Town in the end and Town will really have to try and sort things out now if they are to have any chance of doing anything at Southend on the weekend.

Star Player

The Fans - All 100-150 Town fans who made the trip should be commended. Not one Town player did anything of note.
