Tuesday 22 January 2008, 7:45pm Kick Off

Attendance: 2,800 (771 Swindon Fans)

Referee:

Swindon Town suffer a stunning defeat losing the Third Round FA Cup replay against Barnet this evening after missing 4 penalties in a penalty shootout.

Swindon Town striker Billy Paynter got on the scoresheet twice this evening however he scored the opener for Swindon Town to give us the lead heading into half time however, Paynter would have a shot defelected off his leg into Swindon's goal to give Barnet an equalising goal.

Both teams would go on to play extra time however the result headed to Penalties.

The match at the Memorial Stadium between Bristol Rovers and Fulham went to extra time with Rovers winning on Penalties meaning Barnet will now play Bristol Rovers at Underhill Stadium on Saturday after winning on penalties, meaning Swindon lose out on a money spinning local derby at the County Ground.

We deserved to lose. Barnet battled hard to get to pens, whereas we just looked lethargic in extra time. A bit more effort from our boys and we could have made the man advantage count, but no-one seemed to be that bothered. Surprising given a home tie in the next round and a good chance to make the 5th round. We should have won it in the last minute of normal time, but for a shocking offside decision
